Frank Lewis joins Welconstruct Group in a strategic non-executive director role

Welconstruct Group Ltd has announced the appointment of Frank Lewis as non-executive director to the board.

Mr Lewis has over 25 years experience in both listed and private companies. He has held a number of board positions as Chairman and non-executive director in both the UK and abroad with growing, mid market companies.

Founder of Computer Warehouse, a chain of retail computer stores in South Africa, he grew the company to 23 outlets within two years and listed it on the Johannesburg stock exchange. He is currently a non-executive director of a number of AIM listed companies including Teleset Networks Public Company Limited, a Russian telecommunciations group, MTI Wireless Edge Ltd, a manufacturer of sophisticated antennas and antenna systems, Polymer Logistics N.V., a provider of 'one-touch' logistics solutions and Formjet plc, a software distributor.

Mr Lewis is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Welconstruct , the broadly-based fit-out, workplace equipment and building products group was subject to a multi-million pound management buy out in January 2006. With offices in Birmingham, London and Manchester it is an increasingly profitable and growing organisation with four divisions, 180 staff and an annual turnover approaching £50 million.

Adrian Reeve, chief executive of Welconstruct Group said: "We have made good progress since the MBO, developing strategies for each of our four divisions which include accelerating the growth of our fit-out and refurbishment division, Welconstruct, with a view to a potential listing in a few years. This was one of the attractions of appointing Frank who brings a wealth of knowledge and significant experience of the listed market. I am confident that Frank will be a great asset to the business over these next few years and his appointment marks another milestone in the evolution of Welconstruct Group."
