Welconstruct launches Bristol office as market expands

Nigel Ford

One of the UK's leading fit out and refurbishment specialists is set to open an office in the heart of Bristol in response to fast growing market demand across south west England and Wales.

Welconstruct has appointed Nigel Ford as Business Development Manager to spearhead the growth of the new office, which will officially open its doors this month.

Nigel joins from a locally based based refurbishment firm and brings more than 30 years experience in property and building services together with an invaluable knowledge and understanding of business in this part of the UK.

This will be the third regional office to open outside the firm's Birmingham headquarters. The London operation has been operating for three years and a dedicated Manchester office, launched in September 2006, is this year on track to more than double its first year turnover to £5m.

Barry Redford, general manager of Welconstruct said "without doubt, the continuing flow of serious enquiries from this part of the UK warrants the opening of a dedicated regional office to properly service the level of enquiries being generated as well as provide a dedicated service to our existing client base."

"We are delighted to welcome Nigel on board. His background is absolutely ideal for this next stage of growth for Welconstruct and he will certainly seize the business opportunities that are being created by the buoyancy of the local economy and be keen to maximise on the momentum already achieved in the marketplace."

Welconstruct will be based at Broad Quay House in Prince Street and several other key appointments are imminent.

Nigel Ford added: "Bristol is an obvious next choice for Welconstruct who currently have offices in the other major cities within the UK. The city has become a magnet for investment and the regeneration of its city centre and surrounding areas is making a clear impact on the quality of commercial, industrial and retail space in the marketplace. To remain competitive landlords are keen to upgrade and refurbish space. Having a local point of contact to help project manage their requirements more efficiently is an essential element of best service and a reassurance to all clients. I am delighted to be on board during what is without doubt an exciting time for the company and its future in the South West England and South Wales markets!"
