Welconstruct completed a £700k refurbishment project for the UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) for 11000 sq ft of their headquarters in Harwell, Oxfordshire. The head office is located at the 260-hectare Harwell International Business Centre which is home to more than 40 companies. Welconstruct has created ground and first floor contemporary offices, creating greater efficiency in the UKAEA workplace. Roger Day, regional director of Welconstruct said: “We have created ground and first floor contemporary offices to give UKAEA greater efficiency in its workspace. Responsible for maximising the income from the land buildings on all its sites, this refurbishment project will help ensure the organisation meet goals.” UKAEA is one of the world’s leading nuclear decommissioning organisations, with more experience of managing nuclear clean-up than anyone in Europe.
