Welconstruct has secured a new contract to install a £600,000 three level mezzanine floor in conjunction with a major 3PL logistics provider. As a supplier to one of Britain’s leading retailers of designer brands, House of Fraser, Welconstruct will install a 3,500 square foot floor with minimal downtime and disruption to the surrounding live warehouse.

Devinder Chana, supply chain controller at House of Fraser comments: “When choosing a company for this job we looked at a number of various organisations, but Welconstruct were professional, met our various requirements, offered value for money and could provide us with the complete package including the design and management of the project, as well as mezzanine flooring, piling, sprinkler systems, lighting and power supplies.”

The contract, which will involve the extension of the existing mezzanine floor, will take place in the Milton Keynes distribution warehouse and will create three new floors of storage for clothing and household products.

Wayne Morran, account manager comments, “Welconstruct was selected to manufacture and install the new extension based on its expertise and ability to meet the specification within budget and tight project schedule. “In order to minimise warehouse downtime, the area around the floor will be partitioned and screened off both for health and safety reasons and to allow work to continue elsewhere in the warehouse.
